Finale
Everything about this plot that had the potential to be good turned sour.
- We cheer as Niki tries her hardest, even without powers, to save Monica. She’s getting into hero-dom! Then she explodes.
- We cheer as Maya dies. Finally! Then Mohinder resurrects her.
- We cheer as HRG returns to his family. Then we get weirded out by the fact that he’s very aloof, and suspect that this is a shapeshifter. Then we discover that it really was him, and that he really did just say goodbye to his family forever without any show of affection. (Poor Lyle.) I can't believe that HRG, even though he had an ulterior motive, would be so stiff and cold bidding his family goodbye.
- We cheer as Hiro finally whisks Adam away. Then we find out he didn’t kill him, he just buried him where he can be dug up if the plot requires it somewhere down the road.
- We sorta cheer as Peter stops the virus from crashing to the ground. Then he picks it up and we stop and think...wait, now what? Then he incinerates it and we think, "How do you know that won't spread the virus, idiot?"
- Angela and Matt meet again, and you would never know that he pried her secret out of her.
- Hiro charges toward Peter, Peter stands prepared to electrocute Hiro. Then Hiro teleports to a different part of the room and leans on his sword to chat.
Overall: Anticlimactic.
Heroes Thought of the Day
Peter seems bent on rescuing Caitlin, not by retrieving her from the future (his time traveling seems to have a glitch), but by stopping the virus from being released. But if he changes the future while Caitlin is in it, what happens to Caitlin?
